NACA Board of Directors Nominations Now Open for 2027 Election

NACA members are invited to nominate themselves or a fellow member to serve on the NACA Board of Directors. Nominations are open through October 16, 2026.

The NACA Board of Directors plays an important role in shaping the future of the association and the catastrophe adjusting profession. At the 2027 NACA Annual Convention in Reno, Nevada, members will elect three individuals to serve on the Board.

Board members serve two-year terms and may serve up to three consecutive terms, provided they are elected by the membership at each election.

NACA encourages members who are passionate about the association and the future of catastrophe adjusting to consider serving on the Board—or to nominate a fellow member who would be an effective leader for NACA.

Why Serve on the NACA Board?

Serving on the NACA Board is an opportunity to have a direct impact on the association and its membership. Directors help provide strategic direction, strengthen member benefits, support educational initiatives, and make decisions that contribute to NACA's long-term success.

Board members have the opportunity to help ensure that NACA continues to be a valuable resource for catastrophe adjusters across the country.

Board Member Responsibilities

Directors are expected to:

• Participate in monthly Board conference calls.
• Attend the Board of Directors meeting held during the NACA Annual Convention.
• Review materials and contribute to discussions between meetings as needed.
• Represent the interests of the entire NACA membership.
• Approach decisions with professionalism, objectivity, and a focus on what is best for NACA.

What We're Looking For

The Nominating Committee is seeking candidates who:

• Have a strong understanding of the catastrophe adjusting industry.
• Are committed to helping NACA grow and thrive.
• Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment.
• Can work effectively with others, even when opinions differ.
• Are willing to devote the necessary time and effort to Board service.
• Have ideas for strengthening NACA while respecting its mission and long-term vision.
• Understand that serving on the Board is about advancing the interests of the membership, not personal gain.

NACA Involvement Is Valued

Previous volunteer service with NACA is not required to be considered for the Board. However, the Nominating Committee strongly values candidates who have demonstrated a commitment to the association through committee participation, speaking engagements, mentoring, event support, or other volunteer activities.

Active involvement can help prospective Board members develop a deeper understanding of NACA's mission, operations, and membership needs and will be viewed favorably during the candidate review process.

How to Submit a Nomination

Any NACA voting member may nominate themselves or another eligible voting member.

Nominations must be submitted by October 16, 2026.

To submit a nomination, please contact the NACA office and provide the following:

• Statement of interest — Explain why you would like to serve and what you hope to contribute to NACA.
• Current photo — Provide a current, high-quality photo suitable for publication.
• Professional biography — Submit a camera-ready biography outlining your professional background.

All nominations will be reviewed by the Nominating Committee, which will develop a slate of candidates for the election.
