NACA Member Code of Conduct

As a professional association, NACA is committed to maintaining a community that reflects the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and respect. Membership in NACA is both a privilege and a responsibility. All members are expected to uphold the following standards of conduct at all times, whether participating in NACA activities, engaging with fellow members, or representing themselves publicly as part of the catastrophe adjusting profession.

1. Professionalism and Integrity

  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner that reflects positively on NACA and the catastrophe adjusting industry.
  • Demonstrate honesty, fairness, and respect in all professional and personal interactions.

2. Respectful Communication

  • Treat all individuals with dignity and respect, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, or political belief.
  • Avoid language or behavior that is harassing, discriminatory, inflammatory, defamatory, or otherwise disrespectful.
  • Refrain from engaging in rhetoric or commentary that could reasonably be viewed as offensive, harmful, or damaging to NACA’s reputation.

3. Representation of NACA

  • Recognize that your words and actions—online and offline—can reflect on the association and the profession.
  • Do not use membership or association affiliation as a platform to promote personal views or rhetoric that is inconsistent with NACA’s mission and values.

4. Ethical Conduct

  • Abide by all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing catastrophe adjusting.
  • Report any suspected misconduct, unethical behavior, or violation of this Code to NACA leadership for review.

5. Enforcement

  • Alleged violations of this Code of Conduct will be reviewed by the NACA Board of Directors or its designated committee.
  • NACA reserves the right to take appropriate action, including warnings, suspension, or revocation of membership, when a member’s behavior is found to violate this Code.
