Meet Julian Badillo - 2027-2029 Board of Directors Candidate

Julian Badillo, Independent Adjuster

Statement of Interest

Julian Badillo wants to remain on the NACA Board because he cares about whether members feel the association is working for them. NACA has helped Julian grow through relationships, advice, and opportunities, and serving on the Board allows him to give that support back.  Julian began as a convention volunteer in 2024, joined the Marketing Committee in 2025, and later that year was appointed to the Board and asked to serve as Marketing Committee Chair. Working with staff, volunteers, and fellow directors, Julian has helped improve outreach. In 2026, NACA’s LinkedIn following grew from the 300s to nearly 1,000.  Julian also pushed for closer collaboration between the Marketing and Membership Committees so outreach connects with recruitment and retention. Some ideas remain in progress, but gaps have been identified and that working relationship has been strengthened. Julian has brought member concerns to the Board, including concerns about ladder-assist companies and third-party vendors reducing adjuster opportunities. Members deserve to know their concerns are heard, even when NACA cannot control every industry decision. Outside NACA, identifying a need for practical Xactimate Mobile training led Julian to becoming a consultant and instructor. That experience reinforced the importance of organizing an idea and following through. During another term, Julian's priorities would be membership retention, growth, and member voice. Julian supports technology, including AI, that helps adjusters work efficiently, while keeping their judgment and opportunities at the center. NACA should speak up when new tools or business practices push working adjusters aside. Julian would be grateful to continue serving and help carry this work forward.

Biography

Julian Badillo is an independent field adjuster and Xactimate Mobile consultant. He entered the insurance adjusting industry in 2016 and began handling claims in the field in 2020. After seeing a need for practical Xactimate Mobile training, Julian developed a training proposal and presented it to Pilot. The company later brought him on as a consultant and instructor. He now teaches adjusters how to use mobile tools throughout the inspection process, including sketching, photo documentation, estimating, and field workflow.

Julian currently serves on the NACA Board of Directors and as Marketing Committee Chair. His involvement with NACA began as a convention volunteer before he joined the Marketing Committee in 2025. His development with Xactimate Mobile was influenced by Rafael Estrada, LePaul Manson, and former NACA President Bruce Authement. Outside of NACA, Julian helps manage several online adjusting communities.

He is an administrator of the Claims Adjuster's Network, with approximately 16.6K members, and Xactimate Mobile Tips and Tricks, with roughly 3,700 members. He also moderates the Black and Brown Independent Adjusters Network, a community of approximately 4,000 members. Through the Xactimate Mobile community, Julian has worked with Verisk developers to share feedback from field adjusters and discuss possible improvements to the platform. He has also appeared on industry podcasts and NACA panels to discuss field adjusting, career development, and mobile technology. Julian’s work is focused on practical training, field experience, and helping adjusters use technology without losing the judgment and relationships that matter in the profession.
